Some people buy a vacation home at the beach or in the mountains. Some opt for an RV so they can take home with them on the road.
And some buy an apartment aboard The World.
That big cruise ship docked at the Seattle waterfront — it’s not really a cruise ship. The World bills itself as “the only private residential community-at-sea,” allowing residents to “travel the globe without ever leaving home.”Seattle is among more than 800 ports in and around 140 countries that The World has visited since first setting sail in 2002. It spans the globe on a continuous worldwide itinerary every two-to-three years.
