The team over at RealEstate.com wanted to take a look at statistics regarding the married and single populations to see how marriage can influence home buying. They found that more households are unmarried (for the first time!) and that single women are buying more homes than they were before and now make up a larger portion of homebuyers than single men. As far as the married population, they found that married people are more likely to buy houses and that the more married people there are in a city, the higher the chance is that the houses are occupied by their owner.
